Its a goitrogen (cruciferous) plant related to the cabbage family. Considered a weed..cultivated during the time of slavery and to this day used in "greens" /soul food!! It has good calcium so that's why its used as an iguana food staple. The salad mix you are feeding is more than likely calcium poor. A few other things to look for as high calcium staple greens include: dandelion greens,mustard greens, turnip greens, escarole/curly endive
