Hey, all

I just got my bi-annual ZooMed catalog (which has improved greatly, I might add: no more igs posing on hot rocks!), but there was one little thing that sort of made me choke. In the ad for ZooMed Adult Iguana Food (dry) it has a bunch of little reason why it's a good product. Most of them I can jive with, even tho I don't use commercial food (I mean, it could be a *lot* worse!). But the last little fact about the food said, and I quote "This food is based on legumes, which is what iguanas eat in the wild!"

Yeah, I know. Legumes are things like lentils and string beans (which I *do* occasionally add, but not often)! One, iguanas are foliavores, eating leafies from the tree-tops! Two, wouldn't a diet based on legumes be awfully high in plant protein? Don't get me wrong, it's not as if *I* feed it, and it's also not as if I plan on leading a hostile take-over, but it did stir the place in me that is bugged by misinformation. Do you think perhaps a friendly email or two is called for? Or is it the type of thing to let go, because while the information is incorrect, the food itself isn't *that* bad. I dunno....just thought I'd post about it.

Best,
Jamie/JBug
