As far as warm fuzzies go, ferrets are a little more maintenance than some others, but well worth it. One tip I'd like to pass along....if you are feeding a commercial diet, which I recommend, try to avoid ones that are fish based. That is where most of the smell comes from. Grab a handfull of Marshall ferret food and give it a good sniff!! Yuck!! I can't remember the name of the one I used but it was chicken based and there is another on the market that is based on raisins, I believe (I'll see if I can round up the names). A ferret's natural odor is really quite pleasant, it's the foods that usually make them and their environment smell bad. Enjoy your baby!! And hurry with them pics!
