I was looking into a chinchilla, because I thought they were just the cutest things, but when I went to the (good) pet store and held one, nothing clicked. I felt no instant "bond" that I always feel when I know that an animal is "the one." I felt nothing other than basic affection all animal lovers feel for a cute fuzzy. So I passed them by. Then, I went past the ferret pen. Well. One little gal actually picked *me* out, instead of vice versa. I was eyeing her brother, but she made a beeline for me, and I picked her up, and that was all there was to it. We "clicked." She was the one. I took him everything but her last night, and set it up (so as to make her transistion easier), making the store promise not to sell her to anyone but me. I went and got her today. She is a "silver", which basically is a mostly white ferret with brown eyes and dark hair streaking through the white. She's also got very distinct peachy tones in her fluffy undercoat. She's very beautiful. She's also quite snuggly, albeit playful too. She likes being held. She's currently sleeping on her back in her hammock with her little toy on the ground where she dropped it when she fell asleep. Picture will be coming when I get some devoloped. Hehehe! She's so cute and I'm nuts about her already! I named her Amelia after a character from my favorite anime (japanese animation). Oh, yeah: She's been spayed, descented and has had all her shots for this year. She was born Feb 20th, 2000. I think that's it for now!
