Good for you for giving poor little Taco a home! Good name, too. Hard to say exactly how old (s)he is from size, because it depends if his growth rate has been optimal before this, which probably isn't the case...I would guess 3-5 months? Does he look pretty plump or skinny? When I got my iglet from a pet store he had some sort of roundworm infestation and had to have Panacur twice, but now he's fat and growing (he's almost as big as Taco). I handle him as often as I can, which he is skittish about when I first take him out of his enclosure, but then he seems to appreciate a change of scenery. He likes to sit on my arm or shoulder rather than being held onto. We take a bath every am, which is a good interaction time - unfortunately he's asleep by the time I get home during the week. Having said all this, I wouldn't overwhelm Taco with handling the first several days he's there; there is enough new stuff for him to get used to, especially if being handled seems stressful to him. I think offering some bits of leafy greens is a great friendship offering, too.
Good luck and have fun with Taco!!
