OK, the actual switch problem is not that bad...there are a few ways to solve this problem; The easiest one is a pressure plate with a micro-switch that the ig will pass over, this switch is connected to a DOUBLE THROW relay....the first time the ig passes over the switch it triggers the relay (but nothing is conected to that side so nothing hapens) the next time he passes over the switch when leaving it is conected to a pulse timer relay set for say 30 sec. to activate the drain selenoid, and also attached to another pulse timer relay set for around 60 sec. to fill the drained sink up. There would actually be a few more pulse timer relays set to both close the drain and also to turn the water off automatically. all these times would have to be set manually by simply timing the process manually and then set the timers. The parts themselves are readily available at places like Radio Shack, though you might have to order some of them, and the price range would be about 50-60 dollars. I can definitly wire the set-up and get some scematics for you, unless somelse hase a better idea, or a variation of the above.

My big concern is, don't you have to disinfect the sink each time? Or would say 1-2 times a week be ok? I would worry about that factor. Any ideas?
