I have found that the smaller the syringe the better...I was given a huge needle which made a huge whole in my baby and most of the meds dripped out the hole...I went back and got a 0.5cc syringe (diabetic size) which I recommend asking for...Some times the nurses at the vet do up the needles and dont realize that a large size needle is like a spear-gun to an iguana.
