About 4 days ago I purchased a (i asume to be) baby green iguana. It is about 7 inches from head to tail. It came from some neglective senial old folks at a flea market... i saw it so helpless so i got it. Curently I have it in a 10 gallon tank(i had it from my aquarium after i moved 2 weeks ago to texas) and currently i have 2 rocks (originally from the aquarium), a food boowl, a water bowl, a heatrock, and I have to lean a 60 lightbulb over the top egde of the tank. What types of things will I need to acomadate my new herp.
Also, im still unclear on the diet. I bought some T-REX brand juvenile iguana food, but my iguana doesnt seem to eat it... so im currently feeding it: the dark green stuff from the mixed salad bags, sliced fresh nectarines, sometimes banaas, sliced apples. What else should i feed/take away... also are there any types of (normal human)vitamins that can be crushed and added to help him grow?
I'm willing todo whatever it takes to offer him a good home, but there is a lot of contradicting info on the net.
What would you experience "iguaners" suggest???Thanks sooooo much for your help
