Hi, MC

Good for you for helping an animal in need!

When you say you're letting your iguana get sunlight about an hour a day, how do you do it? Does your ig sit in a window? (Glass filters all the necessary UV!) Does he go outside? Is he in direct sunlight the whole hour? I would suggest, that for this ig at least, you look into some supplimental full-spectrum lighting. My personal choice (other than *REAL* sunlight) is ZooMed ReptiSun or IguanaLight 5.0

Melissa's diet is a good start, but for an iguana who is having muscle spasms, I suggest taking out some of the "hard" veggies like parsnips and green beans, and focusing more on adding lots of leafy greens (dandelion greens, mustard greens, collards, etc). I'd keep adding butternut squash. I'd also suppliment the diet a little with crushed TUMS or calcium glubionate syrup (brand name: NeoCalglucen).
It's my opinion that MK's diet is a good, sound one for a healthy iguana, but for an iguana with possible MBD, I think it could use a little 'tweeking'.

Check out this link below for more diet help.

Hope that helps!
Best,
Jamie/JBug
