As Jaimie posted could be a shed...I'd also examine your iglet for ectoparasites (mites)using a magnifying glass.
Here's a website that may help ya determine your igs age...there are so many iguana growth charts available on the web with varying info/ data. Do a websearch on "iguana growth" and expand yer mind! just don't blow it!!lololol
