put just an inch or so in the bottom of the small tub (if it is too heavy for you) or just go the tub route. Mine will always go in the tub when I put him there, but he would also go anywhere in the house if he was free roaming (he just prefers not to go in his cage, although lately he is breaking that rule too) My point is, tub training might now work all the time if he is free roaming (less incentive). I take mine in the tub before I let him run around.
