that it was *you* who's muckin' around, ok???? if i come off as angry, it's cuz i am, but *not* at you ... at the situation and at vets who waste valuable time ...
this is hitting close to home cuz iZ had an obstruction last fall ... he was nearly dead by the time they took him to surgery and the vet truly did not think he'd make it off the operating table ... against some very major odds, iZ made it and has totally recovered from the surgery ...
i can understand the vet being leery of doin' surgery, but the truth remains that the ig WILL DIE if the obstruction is not removed ... compare this to the fact the she MAY LIVE with surgery ...
what i had to do when i saw the x-ray of iZ's gut, was call everywhere around here and ask specifically for someone who could do ig surgery ... i really cannot believe the vet you've seen refuses to do surgery ... blows my mind ... anyway ... it really sounds like it's the vets you've seen that are stalling + hem-hawwing around and you need to find one who will see this for the life threatening emergent situation that it is! if whatever is obstructing her has not moved since the 1st x-ray was taken, it's not gonna move on it's own ...
keep us posted, let us know if we can help ... (i know how to set up a great ig ICU for after surgery, etc, plus she'll need to be on a liquid diet for a couple weeks while she heals ...)
