Ian...just so you know...my 14 yr old son bought his Ig last year, and guess who's raising it now? You guessed it. Mom. Don't get me wrong, I do LOVE the little guy, but if I were to do it again I'd definitely adopt! It's like having another child. They are extremely hard to tame. Their diet is critical...not to mention expensive. You have to keep track of their temp.,calcium intake, give baths, clean their cage often not to mention practice good hygene etc, etc. I cringed when I read some of the horror stories of late and can just imagine how many Igs are out there suffering that we don't even know about!!! Just thought I'd put my two cents in for what it's worth. Good Luck! J
