Ian...wait! Better to read up on igs as much as you can before you start posting questions to a board. Here are a few websites...3 of hundreds! a good place to *start* investigating everything you can about igs...If at all possible, after reading all you can on em FIRST....and you still decide to get an ig....ADOPT don't buy (do not support the importation of GGIs!)...Iguanas are basically last years throw away pets (enter bearded dragons & sulcatta torts)...people realize how much time, money, care, they require and get rid of em...not to mention they can get to 7 feet and can be unpredictable and inflict serious damage with their razor sharp teeth...Am I scaring you? oops...be afraid be very afraid...lololol nah but I wish I knew then what I know now...I NEVER would of thought to keep an ig as a pet. Anyway consider ADOPTING in ig ...save yourself $7 (not including vet bills to treat a highly parasitized import).
