train you with the food.If he knows it's down at the bottom of the cage,he'll get hungry enough to go down for it.He might try and wait you out,till you give in and put it at the top,,,but I'd wait and let him go down to it.Try and put it in the same place tho no matter which place,top or bottom.
Yes he is a little nervous about being in his new cage,,,they just don't like a lot of changes.Give him time and he'll adjust.Did you use some of his old stuff in the new cage?It will smell familiar and make him feel more at home if you do or did.
Sunshine,ours get about 3-5hrs a day with shady spots and the pool to cool off or we're out there to mist them and give them water if they need it.Make sure he has a cool spot in the shade an mist often.The more natural sun,the better.
He looks wonderful and I'd forgotten how small they can be.
