Iguanas are very high maintenance pets....like no other reptile you could possibly have. You may be getting yourself over your head here. Consider contacting state Herpetological Societies or local animal control/humane society for listings of reptile rescues in your area. I think it would be best for the IGUANA that he be adopted out to someone with experience that can improve his quality of life. You can train an iguana to free roam in your house sure....but its just not that simple. You gotta ig proof your house...Free roaming iguanas are more susceptible to injuries, and disease (unable to thermoregulate and humidity factors) Its just not that easy! I wish it was. You gotta really do some thinking what will be best for HIM in the longrun.
