salmonella is *generally* self-limiting, which means if you do get it, it *should* run it's course + end on it's own without medical attention ... young children, elderly people, and anyone with a compromised immune system may not be able to fight it off on their own ...

the biggest thing to watch for is if you are having diarrhea to the point where you are becoming dehydrated (same with vomiting) ...
