half-way through you post i was already thinking:
"she didn'' vomit though...", and so it gave me a tip on the chance of being salmo.
Yogurt as you know, cleans the intestine well, plus if you go to your doc ASAP he may give you an antibiotic for the stomach virus, if that's what it is.
I had one last month, but was vomiting as well, and i too thought it may have been salmo. though Soni never bit me, nor did i touch feces and the like.
I know someone actually died of it after being severely scratched by his iguana, probably due to lack of hygene, late intervention (often people just wash it up and forget about it), and how advanced the bacteria developed in him.

and look at this link of hers:

It talk about NUTRIBAC, an "antibio" that is not really an antibiotic, and helps reduce Salmo.
Hope you feel better, and good luck!
: Has anyone here had it? I was checking around on the Net last night for symptoms to see if I possibly could have contracted it, but it has several symptoms I don't have, and of course I can't get to a doctor on Saturday. My stomach was *killing* me last night when it finally occurred to me to wonder if whatever I have is related to salmonella. As most of you probably know, I was bit on my ear last Thursday by iguana, requiring 5 stitches, on the top and bottom of the ear. On the bottom, a piece of the fatty tissue was hanging out and had to be pushed back in and stitched. On Monday morning, I had a slight case of diarrhea, then same on Tuesday, but with excessive gas (ugh!) throughout the whole day, most of the time causing abdominal pain, sometimes severe. This has continued all week, getting worse through last night. I still have the symptoms today, but they seem to be lessening (finally!).
: When I was checking for info on samonella-related illness, everything I saw also included fever, and I think vomiting, which I did not experience, so I'm chalking this up to a stomach virus, and a coincidence! Any thoughts?
