Hi, again, Nick

Iguanas take a very long time and a lot fo patience to tame. It's not at all uncommon for it to take 9 months to tame an iguana even remotely. It may be a long time for you to start seeing any progress at all. BUT, it will happen eventually, if you keep it up, work with him everyday, be gentle, be persistant, and be patient. Those are all key in taming an iguana.

As for baths, the sooner you start bathing your iguana the better! Some iguanas will need time to get used to bathing daily. It's best for everyone involved if you can train him to poop daily in the tub....makes cleaning a lot easier and better for him if he doesn't need to sit in a pooopy cage! It's very easy to train your ig to do so. My advice: Just feed him, wait until he's done eating and let him digest for a while, and then put him in a tub of warm (not hot/not cold!) and let him stay in there for a little while. Soon he'll start getting the idea. If he poops, you could reward him with a favorite piece of fruit, or a little piece of whole wheat bread.
Also, daily soaking is very god for keeping iguana's skin hydrated and therefore shedding easier. No time like the present!

Good luck!
Best,
Jamie/JBug
: And when should i start giving him baths
