: Hi! I am in a similar situation as "starving Student" who posted previously, except I live in San Francisco. I have a one-year-old iguana that I cannot take care of any longer due to time and financial problems. I need to move, however, most places will not tolerate pets. I have contacted a reptile adoption agency (CORR), but they have not responded to me. I also do not wish to ship my iguana. I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any reptile adoption agencies in or near the San Francisco Bau Area, I am willing to drive to deliever my pet. I do not want to give her up to a pet store in fear of abusive by the pet store or potential owners. My iguana is a healthy female, a hearty eater (fed a healthy diet-lots of calcium-enriched veggies), she is very friendly and loving, tolerates people and a large amount of handling. However, I don't know how well she tolerates living with other iguanas. She is also very healthy and alert. Thank you for your help.
