Could it be that he is getting colder? I know
when my iguana gets cold he turns REALLY brown.
: i spend a lot of time with my ig everyday, whether it be bathing him, letting him free roam, or carrying him on my shoulder. eventhough he doesn't seem to like me THAT much (lol), when i leave for a day or two, he seems to be darker in color when i get back. i am 110% positive that its not because he is neglected everyday. my mom takes better care of him than i do (his morning bath, feedings 2-3 times a day, and taking him out a bit). i was wondering if it was literally my absence that makes him turn darker? on one occasion, i was gone for a whole week. i came back to him very noticably brown, as opposed to his bright green normal self. he stays in the same environment, while i am the one who leaves, so it's not a change of surroundings. any advice of information would be greatly appreciated.
