A typical salad for Baby will consist of a mixture of the following...Collard Greens, Mustard Greens, turnips, Sweet Potato, Squash, Green Beans, occasionally grapes, banana and apple.(I usually only use two or three of the above at once and the main ingred. is the greens, with the other mixed in.) I've been wondering about a few items to supplement with and I don't remember seeing them on MK's site. One is Cucumber. Baby loves it, but I wondered if it was outlawed, sort of like lettuce. I don't give it to him often. The other thing is the apple. Is that ok? He only get's fruit maybe once or twice a week, and then only in small amounts. I used to feed him spinach as well, but have stopped since reading that it's not good for him. Is it o.k. to mix in the salad once in awhile? I'm trying to perfect his diet before we go on vacation. My sitter offered to come to our house twice a day (morning and evening) to feed and change his water, lighting, etc. We've decided that would cause the least amount of stress since a new environment might be scary for him. She just lives around the corner. So, am I doing the right thing? Hope so! Let me know what you think if you get a chance. You guys are great and I'm learning oodles of stuff from visiting this site! Thanks and keep up the great work!!!! J
