Hello, I have a male BD and a female ig. They have known each other for almost 2years. They are friends. When they are free roaming (under close supervision only), they will share a natural sun basking spot comming through my screen sliding door. They have never shown any aggression towards each other. The ig does tend to be inconsiderate of the BD, she will step on him and things like that, she means no harm, he gets smart and sits on top of her,,, sort of. Sounds like your BD definately doesnt like seeing the ig. Sounds like his beard turning black and the head bobbing is a way of saying "this is my territory, you are invading it, go away". It is definately not love. I would keep those two seperated to avoid any stress on either one. Yvette
