Congratulations T, I'm really happy you got a new Q :-)
I was just wondering if the one is adopted is one they had available @ their site, and if so, which one? Also, how long did
it take for them to approve your application?
Hi Dishy!
Sorry it took me so long to respond! Sometimes I'm offline on
weekends.
I don't think my little Q was ever listed on CoRR's web site.
His original name was Henery (pronounced Henry - no explanation
on the odd spelling). I met him when I took a bunch of medical
supplies to CoRR after my first Q died.
My application to adopt Q was approved immediately. It was just
a formality, really. I've known Ann-Elizabeth Nash for some time,
and I assisted her at at herp show last NIAD. She also knew what
I had gone through with Q. Although she never met Q (who didn't
travel well), she and I discussed him many times.
CoRR's web site is great, but it does take some time to add new
iguanas. There are usually some iguanas in the rescue or in
foster homes who aren't listed yet. If you're looking for an
iguana of a certain age, sex, or temperment, and you don't see
any listed, you could send AE an e-mail or give her a call.
She's always happy to put green friends into good homes!
