I have had avery gentle loving iguana for the past year. I lay with him give him lots of food,love and attention. Just yesterday for no reason he bit my face and I had to go to the hosptial and get roughly 10 stiches. He is 4years old, and he is not in his mating season. He gave me no warning, he didn't hiss lash his tail or puff up. I didn't starle him or hurt him in any way. I do not understand why he did this, and I'm not sure if I should give him awway in case he does this again. Please explain to me why he might have done this.
