Iguana's behavior

I've had my iguana for about a month now and I keep her in a ten gallon tank.She won't let anyone touch her. She's really fiesty.She's act's scared when you put your hand in the tank to get her out. I keep the tank clean, good food, proper temp., and I know I need to get a bigger tank which I am working on. Is that the reason for her behavior? If you have any suggestions please let me know.Thanks
