: If it is it's native to SE US from e. Texas to the Atlantic coast north to the tip of s. Illinois and the sweeping down under e. Tenn and western Virginia. Along the atlantic coast it extends north to n. Maryland and Delaware. Some populations extend into Conneticut.
: Leave me your e-mail and I'll send you the details of description including scute counts for identifying. There is still a possibility that it's NOT a native turtle but and escaped pet. It's nothing I'm familiar with from the pet trade though. Have you tried posting the pic on any of the turtle forums?
