ok ~ i think i Really got it this time!!!

i *think* i figured iZ's weirdness out ... well maybe ...

last night after being towel restrained + carried back upstairs for the umpteeth time in 2 days, hubby went up to check on iZ ... he came back down + said iZ was in the spare room, happy, calm + iZ let hubby pet him ... hubby wanted *me* to go up + see if iZ spazzed out or not ... *heavy sigh* ... i bravely went upstairs and talked to iZ from across the room + received no posturing or bobbing, so i got closer and closer and he stayed calm + sweet + let me rub his head + shoulders ...

now i was *really* confused!!!

this morning i went up to get the sheets off my bed for the laundry and there's the iZ-monster back + on my bed ... he was looking in the mirror on my headboard, turned + saw me + charged!!!!

my newest theory is ... iZ has been roaming upstairs for the last 2 days and i think he's been fighting "The Bad Lizards" upstairs all day! (i didn't know there were that many mirrors he could see!) ... so he fights these big bad male igs all day, then he sees me and i *think* charges me so he can get me before they do and claim me ... !?!?!?!?

what has really thrown me off is that i can go up to his room + get him, carry him on my shoulder to the tub + he's calm and happy ... until we get to the livingroom ...

*why* the livingroom???? well, that is where the *original* "Big, Bad Lizard" resided ... do you think he remembers that from last year??? ... (we used to have a low cabinet with mirrored doors in the livingroom, iZ fought with it for weeks, even if i covered the mirrors ... i finally convinced him he'd chased away the Bad Lizard when i removed the mirrors and put iZ *in* the cabinet so he could see the Bad Lizard really was gone ... for 3 days, as soon as he'd come downstairs, he'd head straight for that cabinet to make sure Bad Lizard was gone ...) (we got rid of the cabinet) ...

it's really weird ... am gonna make sure all the mirrors upstairs are not visible ... i found 2 in the spare room that he could see and then the one on the headboard ... man, talk about mood swings!

i'm about ready to put on 3 pairs of jeans and my high top boots, let him mate with me + be done with it!!! (i *AM* kidding!!!)

he's confined to the upstairs ... i put a plexiglass gate at the top of the stairs so he can't sneak up on me again like the other day ... and it's weird, but i swear he *did* sneak! he didn't make *any* noise coming down those bare wooden steps *or* gonig across the linoleum kitchen floor!!! ...

well, there's certainly never a dull moment with iZ ...
