There is an artical in REPTILES aug. 1997 on Ctenosauras. Are you sure you don't have the Maiagasy spiny tailed iguana? If you have the S.A. spiny it probley C. quinquecarinata. They like it on the dry side and basking spot up to 100 deg. This spring there some C. palearis imported from Guatemala, these have large dulaps like the green iguanas. They eat insects and veggies.
