a grouchy day in the neighborhood

man ... this dragon is having one heck of a bad-mood day! actually it started yesterday ... we had my son + family over for my g-daughter's 2nd birthday ... iZ does *not* like extra people around, but he usually puts up with 'the kids' ... but baby Hannah decided to have one of *her* grouchy spells + iZ just threw a *fit*!!! my daughter in law was in the livingroom with Hannah (+ iZ up on his basking shelf) + the rest of us were outside ... pretty soon we hear poor Catherine screaming "He's coming down!!!!!" iZ climbed down off his shelf + scared the crap out of her, she's never seen him movin' around on the floor! seems iZ does not particularly care to be in the same room as a wailing 2 wk old infant ... who knew? ... he stalked back upstairs to his room + pouted the rest of the night ... LOL

ok ... so what's his excuse tonight??? he only ate 1/2 his supper, + he's been eating *so* good lately ... climbed down off his shelf and stomped into the kitchen ... (it amazes me how much noise an 8# ig can make!!) ... i thought mayve he was mad cuz i gave him kiwis instead of oranges in his salad ... bad bad humommy, i know ... so i grabbed an orange + peeled it and kinda slid it across the room at him ... he had a couple bites of that, but was still po'd and decided to climb up on the microwave + head towards the gas stove ... posturing, bobbing + hissing at me the entire time ... *sigh* ... i went + got a big bath towel + told him he is *not* allowed to play on a stove that has pilot lights, threw the towel on him (scary!!) + carried him upstairs, well-restrained in the towel ... he stomped around my room for 1/2 hour and then stomped across the hall into his room ... i peeked in there to make sure he's ok and got a really evil look ... along with more posturing, bobbing, hissing, etc!

well ... i don't know *what* to think of that!!! this is just *really* unlike him ... hopin' it's just cuz it was really nice + warm + sunny today + he's just feeling more energetic ... dunno ... any sudden changes in any part of him (physical or mental) just scares the bejesus outta me ... but y'all know that right??? so far right now i'll just giggle at it + pretend it's just ig-grouchiness ...

ummmm ... i did find some deleted messages in my mail program
from someone named "Harry" .... *grin* ...

(hooray for long weekends!!!!)
