: I'll try to be brief *grin* Was keeping green tree frogs...added fire belly toad named Spot. NO problems. Save time, etc. put these in with the anoles. NO problems. Decided fire belly toad was lonesome for a friend like him/herself. Got a second one. Lost the tree frogs; lost a couple of anoles; lost Spot....removed the fire belly toad to tank alone. Lost him, too.
: I had been warned that fb toads were toxic---didn't listen because I had not had any problems. Don't know if maybe Spot just didn't have that much toxin in him or what. What I do know is that when a second one was added there was enough and ka-boom mass tragedy.
: So.....keep your fire belly toad separate from ANY other frog/toad/reptile. I still feel a very large sense of guilt over Spot because we had had him for like 2 years. Just because nothing bad hasn't happened yet; trust me, it doesn't mean that it won't!
