spinys dont tame well, and rarely as good as greens.
sorry bud, but that's the breed.
BUT, with A LOT OF TIME and patience, you may get something good out of it.
Go to the Ctenosaura/Cyclura forum, and ask-or-email MARK M. He's a professional breeder of spinys, and he'll help you out.
dont trust tap water, go for bottled spring, or have a filter put on the faucet.
good luck!
: I have a Spiney-Tailed Iguana that's about a foot long. I have him in a 30 gallon tank with his own space and he shares it with two tree frogs and a Fire-Bellied frog. I just got the Iguana about a week ago and hisses at me and opens it's mouth. I was just wondering how long it will take before he gets use to being with me. Also, is it good to make an Iguana drink tap water?? He has only drunk water one time that I've seen.
