"going to put sterile potting soil in there
on one side".. Question here perhaps someone can
answer, Is potting soil a good idea? I know Spazzy given
half the chance will eat dirt...can't that cause problems
in their stomachs? I don't post alot but I am here folks
I just don't feel I have alot to contribute being
a fairly new owner. Anyway I thought I would throw the
potting soil question out there. Spazzy had no problem
adjusting to her new cage, I even bought her a cat
condo with hammocks on 3 levels she absolutly loves it.
I put plastic cups under the legs so when she poops
it doesn't ruin the "condo" legs.. (they are like a
cardboard material)I hope everyone is well.

: My new Ig cage(7X4X8) is suppose to be done this week. I will be decorating the cage.
: I'm putting a nice size mortar tub to use for a water pool and I am going to put sterile
: potting soil in there on one side and indoor/outdoor carpet on the other. Big tree limbs, shelf, and a hide spot.
: Question: What is the best way to get Ziggi use to the new cage, he is currently in a 55G, he is not a year old yet,
: and a little under 2 feet, so this new cage will be a mansion. I want to make sure the move doesn't stress him out.
: Will he search out his food, or do I show him where its at? Don't want him to starve, and I'm gonna put the food on the bottom
: on the other side of the cage opposite the basking area? Should I put it close to begin with, maybe on his shelf?
: He's gonna look so little in this big cage! Thanks.
