Hi
I would like to get some oppinions on the use of oak branches in the cage. We've been using them for over 20 years now and I know that the advice is not to use oak, pine and equals.
Tha problem for me/us is to use anything else since they have to last for long and also "survive" the moist. Also, the size of the exhibits leaves us no choise other than to use the oak, since the branches sometimes exceeds 7 meters ( 20 feet )in length and have to be strong enough to on both ends.
Any comments?

PS. I just discovered that links for to my website was not permitted...I didn't know that so, I'm sorry about linking to it below, won't happen again ( these rules are new (??) and didn't come up as I posted the answer!! DS
