Hello. It sounds like you are taking good care of your ig. I personally dont use any prepackaged food. I dont trust what they may or may not have in them. I use fresh veggies and fruit. I pretty much use the MK salad concept, but, change it around often. My ig loves salad made of shredded acorn or speghetti squash, lots of fresh green beans, 1 yellow squash, 1zucchini, parsnips, sometimes leeks and cantaloupe. I serve dusted with alfalfa powder, a little calucium supplement, and a nice side of mustard and turnip greens (mustards are his fave) Here is a web site with great diet suggestions. Also, I have read that as igs get older, they tend not to eat as much, they eat like every other day. I suppose each ig is different. They all seem to have their own personality. As long as his enclosure is large enough for him to stretch out and climb to bask, I think its sufficient. Hope this helps, Yvette
