: like iZ's mom mentioned, a proper iguana diet does not need supplements, or a lot of it. : the best calcium supp. are phosphr' free. : calcium carbonate are also good supp. : calcium lactate is not very digestible. : IF other supplements ALREADY contain D3 and A, avoid calcium supp WITH D3, since and overdose of either vitamin can be harmful to iguanas. : NATURAL vitamin D3is biologically synthesized with unfiltered sunlight, or the ol' trusty Iguana Lite's . : I give Soni a load of supplements once a week in the winter, and every other week in the summer, since he stays in is out-door enclosure (8' sq!), and is still a 'teen-ager'. : Once-a-week supplementation is adequate, but not really necessary if the animal is healthy and has a good diet. : All this info and knowledge that makes me look sooo smart i got from the Ultimate Iguana Manual. : the end.
