Hmmmmm, could be that your ig just gets up to operating speed faster in direct sun. At any rate, if you have an ig that does not poop in the cage, Bravo! We have a small rescue ig that will not poop in the cage, (tub only, bless her heart), but our two free roamers, both of which know the way to the tub on their own. sometimes choose to poop wherever! We also had a sav monitor that would rather burst than foul his enclosure.
