: Sorry to be a pain but just one more question...What do you recommend for a cage for an iguana? An enclosure or something like a cage that can get air all the time like a reptarium I have seen....I have heard a complete enclosure is best, but hear so many comflicting stories..Any help would be greatly appreciated...THANKS
Really depends on your environment. You need to keep the temp around him between 75-85? Very humid(if not overall need to mist him a few times daily)
If you can keep it like this then an open cage would be ok. If it gets cold and you keep your house at a low temp, then you would need a complete enclosure
to hold the heat in! I have one room that I keep a higher temp than the rest of the house. I am framing in a corner of the room with plastic and wire mesh for his cage.
It will be 8ft long, 4ft wide, and 7ft high.
It's really up to you and depending on the environment the iguana will be in?
There are pro's and cons either way.
Good Luck.
