Forum Lurker, I believe IZ's Mom intends to use some words in all caps to emphasize the word. Since we can't use italics and we want to emphasize a word, we'll some times go *cookie* or some of us will go COOKIE. Which is very different from TYPING LIKE THIS NON-STOP. I can hardly see how it could be offensive.
