For me I have the heat bulb on a temperature regulated on/off controller. This way the UV stays on during daylight, the day bulb goes on and off throughout the day depending on how hot it gets, and then they both switch off automatically at night when my night bulb comes on (I could just use a ceramic bulb instead of 1 day and 1 night bulb, but I do like it to be bright in there during the day. My friend has the ceramic bulb and their cage is always so dreary and dark (probably because the room they keep him in is also). I would like to know more about these bulbs though too, in case I change my set up.
