Running late for work....but according to Smith Kline Beecham (makers) Tums EX 750 mg. cal carbonate 300 mg of elemental calcium per tablet. Here's their link..As phosphorus binder need to give it with his food prevent alkalosis and hypercalcemia . You do want to have a alkali saliva /gut and acidic elimination (urates) ....darn and I was going to start doing litmus tests (ph) on Juana & Feo...wish I had cuz would of been able to share what I found out...Haven't even ordered the darn paper! Can't seem to find my Calcium Connection book either...here somewhere! Figures!! For humans calcium carb tx thousands of mgs are given daily. Im still working on the dosages/amount to give an onrey lizard ;-) Will need to be an everyday thing for a few months! Are you sure IZ needs it...any idea what his phosphorus levels are? Sorry not much help yet!
