A little perspective....

OK, first, everybody involved, go have a cup of coffee, cup of tea, shot of whiskey, cigarette, (insert other vice here), whatever. :) Feel better? Ok...

First off, I'd like to say that I agree with BabyHerp's post on the subject. And y'all know if me n Gina can agree, anyone can! (Ya know I'm just kiddin ya, Gina! (; )

Second, let's take a little look at the happens that brought all this on.
1. Guy called DanD posts asking some questions but not giving a whole lot of information.
2. HD asks a couple very good questions in a very non-offensive manner.
3. DanD gets mad and starts saying he knew this was going to happen (obviously he's somewhat familiar with this forum, which brings up some questions I will not ask).
4. Thumper posts saying that no one meant any harm and that we would help him, it was no big deal
5. Someone named Jessie assumes that we are not going to help this guy for some reason and tweaks us about it.
6. It makes Thumper mad. (Understandable, as she was misunderstood)
7. Everybody gets in on it and we have a page full of defensive/angry posts.

OK, so it got blown out of proportion. DanD: Why the heck did you get so defensive when Harry's Dad asked you a couple of questions? We communicate on this forum, and that's how we help each other. That's how we learn. What do you plan on feeding your iguana, etc? If you want our help, you need to not be unpleasant.

Thumper: It's cool, no one is mad at you. This kind of sh*t happens. We have been plaugued by trolls lately, so I can see why you're a little jumpy. But, what are ya gonna do? We need to be cool and assume the nest until somebody proves us wrong, ok? And for the group is sometimes a risky proposition. :)

Sometimes we fight, most times we get along. Sometimes people we don't necessarily care for come here, but we help them anyways, cause that's what's done here. Jessie, where did you get the idea that no one was going to help this guy? It looks like that was a pretty large assumption on your part. Be cool. If you don't think anyone is going to help him, help him yourself. No need to go balistic on everyone else, right?

So, to sum it up, how about we just drop the whole thing. DanD, we're happy to help you, as a matter of fact, this is just as much your forum as it is ours. But please, don't get all defensive if someone asks you a question or something to clarify the situation. No need to go off if a post rubs you the wrong way. (Same to everybody else, including myself) Give it a chance. This is a great forum and a great resource, and best of all, a great family!

I htink that's everyhting I intended to say, and perhaps a little more.
