Can't remember if you said. I'm going to quote Melissa Kaplan on a calcium supplement that you should probably be using at this point. (Please note I am NOT a vet, okay?) Unfortunately the reply given that I saved off doesn't have the recommended dosage. You could check with the vet to see if they have it & at what price (and ask about the dosage) if this is not what you are using. Then comparison shop Walgreen's, etc. If you call, you could ask what the charge is for a calcium boost injection ;o) Trust me I understand financial problems---err, it seems to hit all of us at the worst times! I'm also going to leave you the website of a list of herp vets that have been recommended by ig owners. You sound a little iffy about the one you have right now. Maybe they'll be on the list and you'll feel better but if not, maybe you can find someone close to you. Here's the quote from MK:
In some states NeoCalglucon (which is the brand name; the chemical name is calcium glubionate; made by Sandoz) is available by prescription only. In others, it is available over the counter. Most pharmacies don't stock it
routinely, so the pharmacy will have to order it for you.
While it can be used as a daily/regular supplement, it *is* expensive. It
is generally used for igs with MBD or who are having problems laying their eggs due to gravidity-induced MBD.

P.S. The vet page is held together by some wonderful folks that frequent here at this forum.
