I LUV jicama. It's crisp, crunchy, refreshing....ahhhh.
JBug runs to the store for a jicima.

For igs, it's not a great choice to use often. It's a bit too starchy and it doesn't have a very good calcium to phosphorus ratio. BUT, it has a great deal of water in it, so it comes in very handy for hydrating. My igs can take it or leave it, but Shakai seems to be more fond of it when she is gravid. Perhaps because of it being so water-based? I have no clue.

HTH!

: It says on the label for humans to eat as shreded veggie in salad or use with a dip. Think the name is Jicama or something like that. Anyway is this a good food to feed Lizzy, chopped finely of course.
: I thought I saw somewhere this is an okay food, but what amounts and how often?
: She is growwing and eating her collard greens, loves them. Starting a shed again on her tummy this time. Wish I could post a pic but have no scanner or camera for this I have taken pics with my regular camea. When I look at the first ones she was so tiny, hard to believe.
: Well thats all for now.
