Sure why not...Chips are hazardous just because of impactions, obstruction, dust inhalation and great harbor for mites. Don't know how polluted Delaware River is but ya might want to do a bleach/water soak on it. Here's what the PFAF has on Cedar...sorry too tired to look it up for you.
