First thing--I am not a genetic engineer; I am a domestic goddess.
To my knowledge the only thing changing incubation temps will do for igs is determine sex. Can't remember which way it goes but the high temp will produce all (most?) one sex while the lower end will do the other---and I seem to recall something about sometimes you wind up with sterile reptiles if incubation isn't correct.
I think the only way you can get color morphs is thru breeding as Ingo described. I'll look and see where I *stuck* a write up a college prof of biology did on breeding dragons & when (if) I find it I'll link you to it. I found it very interesting ;o) And, personally, I think that in-breeding to attempt to produce morphs is BAD. Look at the hip problems, epilepsy, deafness, etc. that has occurred in different dog breeds due to this sort of thing.
Also I think some of the color patterns come about as iguanas adapt to their habitat if it goes thru changes. It's a slow process however.
BTW, I officially nominate you for inclusion in the Pondering club. LOL BabyHerp, myself and some others often ponder outloud here.
