I would say less than 18months old. Usually babys are sold at about 3-4 months old, so that would be for a little over a year. Each one of our bearded dragons have about the equivent of a 70 gallon and I can't even image our iguana in those cages. Our ig will be 2 yrs in July. He has a closet made into cage. When he was a baby he just didn't have run of the full height.
As a baby it would be OK, but they grow so fast. If it is something you already have it would buy you a little time. If you're planning to purchase it, you might want to try and find a big old dresser at a garage sale, take the drawers out and put plexiglass, glass or screen doors on it. It would not be a full solution but would last longer than the 70gal.
Heres a link to a web page with lots of different cages and plans. Maybe something will appeal to you there.
Joan (I hope your doing a lot of reading on igs, start with the past posts)
