i'd recommend that your friend be reading various sites on each animal's care requirements, not just forums ... give him MK's link about igs ... i wouldn't recommend an ig as a first lizard/reptile to anyone!!! plus ... igs should also live 15-20 years ... and don't belong in a basement ... and ... shouldn't be considered just cuz someone thinks it'd be cool to have a 5' lizard on their shoulder ...

i better quit ............
