Expect a change in appetite....with his new surroundings...whatever you feed your igs (hopefully its a nutritious calcium rich diet) give that to him/her also pour some Ensure or Sustacal over a small amount of salad with a few tablespoons of lo-fat yogurt (w/ live cultures)and feed him that for a few days. Hopefully you have one of those pill pushers for cats....a little plastic syringe ....about $4.oo super handy....I'd pop a pure calcium carb pill and Vitamin B complex pill down him/her.
I would NOT use rid worm , dry food or any of the other things you mention unless directed by a vet. Expect weight gain/appetite to be gradual.
THEN: as soon as roomate returns I'd sit him down and tell him....he needs to buy a plastic or beanie baby Iggy.....because he doesn't have the time to care for such a HIGH MAINTENENCE reptile and he is doing a terrible disservice to his poor little life....give him a list of vets, reptile rescues, herpetological societies in the area and ask him to find a suitable home for him/her before its too late.
