We have silks in our kids cages and they did tongue flick them,,but thought the taste was tooo bland,,so now they leave them alone or hide under them.We do put live hibiscus bushes(small)in their cages too,for a midnight snack.The bushes are free from any chemicals and in heavy pots,,,it is messy sometimes,,,but after they've had too many leafs munched off,I plant them in the yard.
